The next day, I went on the Arenal Volcano Tour. This tour is great for someone who wants to relax, view some beautiful scenery, and eat some fantastic food. I did not see much wildlife except for an occasional bird. It was a rather long drive to Arenal Volcano and along that drive you get to see some of the most beautiful country side and the poorest neighborhoods you will ever see. The tour guide named Ronald was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about area. Arenal Volcano is considered to the 3rd most active volcano in the world and it stands out against the country side for many miles as you drive towards it; It is an awesome sight. They say Arenal Volcano erupts almost every day, but that day not even a rumble. After a short lunch the tour group arrived at Tabacon Resort. Tabacon Resort is a very nice and scenic resort with hot springs from the volcano. Some of the water is so hot that you can burn yourself and some are like a Jacuzzi. I did bring my swimming trunks, but spent the whole time taking pictures. While taking photos, I met a nice group of people from Dallas, TX. They asked if I take some photos of them and I did and in return they bought me a few drinks. Looking back, I should of went into the water to relax, but I was more focused on photography. Sometimes I am so focused on taking pictures that I don't know if I had a good time until I inspect the photos later to see if they came out good. The hot spring are very aesthetically pleasing to look at and the photos I took are among my favorite. After the hot springs, we stopped at Lago Arenal. Lago Arenal was man made to use for hydroelectric production and is the largest artificial lake in Central America. The sun had pretty much set, so the view could have been better. After Lake Arenal, I ate dinner at the back at the Tabacon Resort. It was a buffet and I can't remember the last time I had a meal that good. The only bad experience on that tour was the ride home. It was a very long drive with no stops, plus it was very dark with nothing to look at except the for the seat in front of you. I have to admit, I had a better time on the tour the previous day, but maybe it was because I did not take a break between the two; I was exhausted.
